Science Park of the Philippine's ("SPPI") mission is to be an industry leader by developing world-class, environment-friendly industrial estates for major foreign and local investors in strategic growth areas in the country. To support this, one of the company's commitments is to exercise responsible stewardship of the environment and promote mutually supportive relationships with host communities. The activities of the SPPI Community Relations Unit benefit locators by way of the peace and order in the host community, assistance in securing barangay clearances and permits, public relations, labor source, and social responsibility.

      The following are community projects undertaken by SPPI that has led to its Best Community Project Awards for 1997, 1998, and 1999 from the Philippine Economic Zone Authority.

LISP I

1. ORGANIZATION OF HOMEOWNERS resulting in the implementation of the following projects:
   
   1.1 Management of the Day Care Center
   1.2 Maintenance of school facilities
   1.3 Counselling to lot owners to avoid selling of (SPPI donated) homelots
   1.4 Management of health and sanitation facilities
   
   
2. ORGANIZATION OF YOUTH SECTOR resulting in the implementation of the following projects:
   
   2.1 Drug free community - Drug awareness and prevention seminar
   2.2 Church choir for Sunday masses
   2.3 Tree planting project of the Rotary Youth Group.

   Signed a tri-party Memorandum of Agreement with Habitat for Humanity & the Barangay Council of Barangay Diezmo, Cabuyao, Laguna to provide homes for 46 families.
