Benefits of Locating in an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Certified Industrial Park

  1. Documentation - Certified companies are expected to have a more thorough system of documentation at all stages of the transaction, from sale to operation, to ensure that customer requirements are clearly understood and met.
  2. Corrective and Preventive Action - This provides a system for responding to customer feedback and operational concerns, investigating the root cause, correcting the problem, and finding ways to prevent them from recurring.
  3. Continuous Improvement - In terms of service, costs, efficiency of operation, pollution control, environmental protection, etc.
  4. Environmental Compliance - Being ISO 14001 certified, the activities or facilities which Park Management operates conforms to the requirements of the different government authorities. These include the operation of the water and waste water system, solid waste management, and monitoring of other activities which may have an effect to the environment.
  5. Cleaner Working Environment - Locators and their employees shall benefit from a much cleaner working environment which is brought about by continuous monitoring and performing the necessary control measures for cleaner air, water, and land.
  6. Influence over Sub-Contractors - As a requirement of the standard, ISO 14001 locating companies will not find it difficult to require Park Management (which according to ISO is its subcontractor/supplier) to undertake environmental controls or programs as they are already being performed. Locators can be assured that their commitment to environmental protection is aligned with the commitment of the park management.
  7. Suppliers - The park is currently forming a core of reliable suppliers who can provide the proper equipment or services for their EMS.
  8. ISO Assistance - The park may provide assistance to companies still working for their certification.
